Jayne McKenna


Jayne trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Her theatre credits include playing Rose Naracott in War Horse (National Theatre West End), Men Should Weep (National Theatre), Macbeth (West End), This Happy Breed (Peter Hall Company, Theatre Royal Bath), The Front Page (Chichester Festival Theatre), Hamlet, Twelfth Night and Present Laughter (Birmingham Rep.), King Lear (Theatr Clwyd and Theatre Royal Cardiff), Macbeth (Exeter Northcott Theatre), Our Country's Good, Caucasian Chalk Circle, Cinderella and Montrose (Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh), Men Should Weep (The Citizens Theatre Glasgow),  Measure for Measure (Barbican, Nottingham Playhouse and European Tour), The Importance of Being Earnest (Leicester Haymarket), Double Indemnity (Salisbury Playhouse and Ipswich), Bread and Butter (The Tricycle Theatre) and Chekhov Comedies (Arches Theatre).

Television Credits include Silent Witness, Holby City, Breathless, River City, Obsession, Doctors, The Deal, Inspector Lynley, and Footballers Wives.

Film Credits include London Road, The Rising, EMR, True Love Once Removed.

Jayne works extensively in Radio Drama, with credits including Abdication, The Crisis of Wallis Simpson, My Brilliant Friend, McLevy, Flashman Chronicles, The History Man, and Shadow Baby. She also does a lot of voice over work including Playing Mo in Tee and Mo for CBeebies.
