Alison Fitzjohn



Alison is from Cardiff and is based in Bristol. She trained at Bretton Hall College and has just finished Assistant Directing and performing in David Walliams' hit national touring show Gangsta Granny with the Birmingham Stage Company. Alison was delighted to perform as The Queen of Hearts/Duchess in the Olivier nominated immersive production of Alice’s Adventures Underground by Les Enfants Terribles in 2015.

Over the past 12 years she has performed all over the world in Horrible Histories: the Terrible Tudors, the Vile Victorians, the Ruthless Romans, the Awful Egyptians (national tour and Sydney Opera House), Barmy Britain (national and international tour, part one, part two, Garrick Theatre, West End), Best of Barmy, Scotland, festivals and Horrible Science.

Other productions for BSC have included Mum in George’s Marvellous Medicine, and Clemmie Jenkins/Mrs Wellbeloved in Why The Whales Came.

In between these contracts she has been a Paranoid Psychic in the IOU team for a Natwest online advert, performed with Bristol Old Vic in Good Clown, Bad Clown and has worked at Princes Hall in Aldershot, playing Fairy Cakes in Sleeping Beauty, Fairy Bovverboots in Beauty And The Beast and The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard Of Oz where she was awarded Best Villain by Encore Magazine. Other work includes Carole in John Godber’s Shakers, Dame Annie Gobstopper in The Magic Castle for Chaplin’s Pantomimes, Dame Dora in Beauty And The Beast (Pele Productions), Zoe in Chaser and Sarah the Cook in Four Dames In Search Of A Panto (Proteus Theatre Company).
